Growth Aids....what has worked for me?

Hey cuties! I'm back with an interesting post....growth aids!
What are growth aids???
These are things and methods consciously used to increase or boost our hair growth. There are different kinds of growth aids but you should take note that using any of them is totally up to you. Its not a must use because if you eat well, drink enough water and exercise regularly your hair will grow just as your nails grow. The only need for it is to increase your normal hair growth rate when used consistently.
What are these growth aids?
Ingested growth aids are growth aids in the form of pills or multivitamins. They work to boost hair growth from the inside out because they are packed full with most of the essential nutrients and vitamins that nourish the hair follicles and encourage the production of new hair cells. The most reviewed of these multivitamins are Biotin, MSM and Hairfinity.

Topically applied growth aids involves the direct application of oils or home made hair growth masks. Using oils as growth aids requires that you take time to massage the oil gently into your scalp for some minutes each day.
Here's a List of some oils that are known to stimulate hair growth:
* Jamaican Black Castor oil
* Cold pressed clear castor oil
* Coconut oil
* Olive oil
* jojoba oil
Essential oils like
* Peppermint
* Lavender
* Rosemary
* Thyme
* Lemongrass
to name a few.
Moving on there are other hair growth methods such as the Green House Effect method. The green house effect method involves covering the head in other to create a warm environment which encourages more production of sebum, the natural oil produced on our scalp to nourish the hair and improve hair growth. Find out full details of this method here- GHE Method
Another method that is gradually gaining popularity is the Inversion method. The inversion method involves massaging a warm oil into your scalp for some mins then bending in an inverted position for 4mins in 7days. This is said to increase blood flow to the scalp which encourages hair growth up to 1inch after the 7 days period. But can only be done once a month. Find out more about the inversion method and terms (relating to your health) which may disqualify you from trying it out  here- Inversion method
These are the few growth aids i would talk about for now.
There are certain things to consider before choosing a growth aid... can you keep up with this or will it easily tire you out? Will this home made mask have a heavy smell or be so greasy that it would require wasting a lot of shampoo just to get it off? because i don't want to smell weird if i have to do it every week. Do i have enough money to spend on these expensive hair growth vitamins? and all that. Next you need to read reviews about whichever you choose and know the right way of using them. Commit yourself to a challenge and take before and after pictures (not less than 3months) to know if they worked for you.
One thing you must know is that everything works through patience and don't expect something to work for you just because it worked for a friend....you can definitely try it out it may work for you but if it doesn't, know that you need to find what works for you. There are so many bizarre methods you could come across but i'm not into mixing so much for hair growth... too much mixed up potions scares me!
I guess by now you are probably thinking, which growth aids have Juditherese used and did they work for me? Well i prefer topically applied growth aids...some people don't believe they work but hey, it has worked for me! and again.... i swear by it... my holy grail is clear pharmacy bought castor oil. Believe me the clear castor oil ain't broke it stimulates hair growth and softens my new growth when i'm on a relaxer stretch. It is a humecant and so keeps my new growth moisturized. I have also used both the GHE and the Inversion method and i had success with them regarding hair growth. But i stopped doing the GHE method after 3months because it made my hair wet and i didn't like how my hair feels when it get dry....it just gets sooooo dry. The inversion method worked well the first time i tried it (gave me an inch after 7days) but the other months i have randomly tried it i get 0 to 0.5" i am not consistent with it and so i prefer massaging castor oil without the flipping...lol

  2. I use castor oil too and I love the results. Castor oil worked really well for getting my edges back at the start of my hair journey. My new growth is always soft when I use it. :-) I also take biotin (1 mg).
